Other Ocean Group releases Sour Patch Kids Sour Fling for Android

General

Overview

A lot of people might not know it, but the gummy candy known as Sour Patch Kids have been around for over 30 years, and now the quirky little candies even have their own Android game called Sour Patch Kids Sour Fling.

Sour Patch Kids Sour Fling is a new physics-based game from Other Ocean Group that lets you fling the candies around the levels while you try to avoid the evil Gum Monster and traps. You’ll need to collect the mini sour patch kids you see on each level and make it to the exit, but nothing is ever that easy as you’ll quickly find out. The game has some pretty cool achievements as well; some involve you saving kids or completing tasks while others award you for killing the candy. There seems to be quite a bit to the game including unique power-ups, secret keys, and 120 unique levels.

Verdict

I haven’t gotten to spend much time with the game yet, but so far Sour Patch Kids Sour Fling seems like a cool physics-based game. The graphics are slick and the theme of the game works well as you fling the little Sour Patch Kids around the funky levels. The game is free with some ads, but from what I can tell you only get the first 10 levels or so for free so it’s really more of a demo if that’s the case. I know extra levels can be purchased with Sour Points, but I think those have to be bought. I plan on looking into the game further this weekend and should have a full review up soon. Until then you can head on over to the market check out Other Ocean Groups’ Sour Patch Kids Sour Fling for free.
