The World War Z game creeps back onto Google Play

General

The official World War Z game popped up on Google Play yesterday and was promptly pulled due to technical reasons. Phosphor Game Studio quickly fixed the issue, and now World War Z is back and available to download. The World War Z game is a shooter that follows a survivor (not Brad Pitt) as he goes in search of his family in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. The game has an engaging storyline that goes along with the movie and includes 28 different levels, and a slew of upgradable weapons. The World War Z game is somewhat of a rail shooter, but you can interact with objects and things around you. You’ll have to swipe through files using gestures, and you can search bodies and trunks for ammo and other perks.

Phosphor Game Studio has put out several visually impressive games like Horn and Dark Meadow, but both of those games suffered from issues with the controls. The World War Z game looks great and thankfully there several different control schemes to tinker with. We haven’t had a chance to give it a run yet, but will be back next week with a full review. If you’re ready to check it out, you can pick up the World War Z game for $4.99 on Google Play.
