Phosphor Games Horn finally blows onto Google Play

General

It’s a good week to be an Android gamer… This week has seen several great Android games, and you can add another to that list as Horn from Phosphor Games and Zynga has finally made its way to Google Play.

What would you do if you woke up and discovered you’re town had been taken over by monsters? That’s the premise behind Horn as you’ll step into the role of a young Blacksmith’s apprentice who discovers that his village has been taken over by monsters. Well, actually the people in your village have been turned into them due to a nasty little curse and it’s your job to free them. You and your traveling companion (an ill-tempered head) get to travel around the magical world solving puzzles and beating monsters until the curse is broken and the townsfolk are free. Horn is an open world game of sorts which means you won’t have to move on a set path and can wander around a bit if you choose to do so. The game also has challenge modes, and plenty of hidden side content to keep you busy for awhile.

A lot of people have been waiting for Horn, and now that it’s finally arrived I look forward to checking it out on my tab. That being said, I’m holding off on this one for now as it’s a 2 gig download which means you’re definitely going to miss that 15 minute refund window by the time you download and actually get to play the game. It does look like a truly awesome game, but I really wish dev’s would put out a demo with the high-end games like this so we can try before we buy. If you’re ready to give it a go and have a compatible device you can pick up Horn for $6.99 on Google Play.
