One of my favorite flicks is the classic Total Recall with Arnie, and while I still don’t know how to feel about the remake there’s now an official Total Recall Android game to help me decide.
The Total Recall game is a fast-paced first person rail shooter that follows the storyline from the upcoming Total Recall movie with Colin Farrell. You play as Douglas Quaid and you’ll get to fight your way through some familiar places including New Asia as well as the core of the Earth. Missions are set across several different places from the movie like the Red light district and the Rekall Center of course. As with most shootem’ ups you’ll be able to upgrade Quaid with new weapons and gear. You’ll need all those tools at your disposal if you’re going to make it through the missions and find out the Ultimate Truth. I don’t know if the three boobed chick or Kuato are in the game, but as a fan I can only hope as that would be beyond awesome. If not maybe we’ll at least get the Johnny Cab.
Verdict
This one was a total surprise, as the last thing I expected was a Total Recall game based on the movie. I haven’t had time to check this one out yet, but I’m hoping against hope that it’s a good one even though I’m not a huge fan of rail shooters.
