The wallet-draining season has arrived for PC gamers. Valve has officially kicked off the Steam Autumn Sale 2026, bringing discounts to thousands of PC games, DLC packs, and other content across the storefront. The sale runs from October 1 through October 8, 2026, giving players one week to grab discounted games before prices return to normal.

This seasonal event carries serious weight in the gaming economy. Over 58% of 2024 purchases occurred during promotional periods, demonstrating the impact of seasonal sales on revenue. Steam’s Winter Sale 2024 generated over $950 million in revenue across 35,000 discounted titles. The Summer Sale 2024 produced $876 million from 30,000 discounted games. The Autumn Sale traditionally sits between these two giants, offering a critical revenue window for developers and publishers heading into the holiday quarter.

The Deep Discounts section has also returned, making it easier to find some of the biggest price cuts in the sale. Selected games are discounted by as much as 85% to 95%, including popular titles such as Far Cry 6, Jagged Alliance 3, Monster Hunter Rise, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus. With discounts reaching as high as 90%, some of these deals are genuinely difficult to ignore.

Will you clear your wishlist or exercise restraint until the Winter Sale?
