ExileCon 2026: Path of Exile 3.30 Covens of Umbra Fully Unveiled at Auckland Showcase

Grinding Gear Games is pulling back the curtain on one of the most anticipated expansions in Path of Exile history. The studio named the expansion Covens of Umbra on November 1, 2026, and the full reveal is set for ExileCon at the Aotea Centre in Auckland, with a free livestream available to all players worldwide. The keynote itself runs approximately two hours across both games.

The 33-second teaser “The Covens Gather” shows no gameplay, depicting hooded figures gathered around a stone altar in a candlelit forest as a pale, thorned shape rises from it — dark and evocative imagery that has the community buzzing. Covens of Umbra launches November 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM PST on PC and consoles.

The stakes for this ExileCon extend well beyond a single expansion. With PoE 2 preparing for its free-to-play 1.0 launch on December 11 and PoE 1’s 3.30 update scheduled for November 13, Grinding Gear Games has several major announcements to make. During the keynote, Managing Director Jonathan Rogers and Director Mark Roberts will take the stage to share brand-new details about the Path of Exile series.

Path of Exile 2 leaves Early Access on December 11, 2026, and 1.0 is more than a version bump — the campaign finally gets its last two acts, the long-awaited Duelist class arrives, and the game goes fully free-to-play on every platform. On-site attendees will also be able to test unannounced new content at demo stations.

This is a landmark moment for the Path of Exile community — two major game milestones converging on a single stage within weeks of each other. With the full Covens of Umbra reveal and PoE 2’s 1.0 scope finally laid bare, which of these two expansions are you most excited about?
