Full Fat Productions has let us flick a lot of different things over the past year, but it’s been all about the sports. While I’ve patiently been awaiting a “flick baseball” type game, Full Fat dropped a bomb on me over the weekend with a new… Zombie themed game! Totally unexpected from a company focused on sport flicking games, but it’s also a whole lotta’ fun.
I’ll start off by saying that Zombie Flick can really wear your fingers out. If you’ve played Full Fat’s other flick games you’ve already got the gist of what to expect from Zombie Flick, and you’ll also know that you need to limber up your flicking finger before getting started. Instead of flicking footballs or soccer balls you’re going to flick dishes, wrenches, and anything else you can find towards the oncoming Zombie hordes. You can drop them with a headshot, but that becomes increasingly difficult as the game progresses especially when you encounter fast zombies. Zombie Flick has slow zombies, fast zombies, crawling zombies, and crazy zombies. In a nutshell, there are more zombies than you can shake a stick at and it’s a blast to play.
Verdict
I’ve long been a fan of Full Fat’s flick games, and as bad as I hate to admit it I think I’ve got a new favorite with Zombie Flick. Zombie Flick is just so different from their previous titles, and they really did an excellent job with the graphics, gameplay, and overall presentation. I ran the game on my quad-core Transformer 300; it look awesome and I had no glitches or delay even when I was firing out 20-30 objects one after the other. As usual there isn’t a free version of the game to check out, but the full version is well worth the $1.12 price tag.
