At the beginning of the month, we heard of the Android game ‘Horn’ that was developed by Phosphor and released by Zynga. The game was dubbed to have a feel of the iOS exclusive game ‘Infinity Blade’ (now a game series with the release of the second incarnation of the game). Well, we’ve now learned that there is another game in the works that again, has the same feel as the popular iOS game Inifity Blade. This time around it’s a game called ‘Wild Blood’ and this game is being developed by the ever active game making company Gameloft.
Following in the foot steps of a hugely popular and best selling iOS franchise, Wild Blood for Android shares quite a few similarities with Infinity Blade as it happens. The visuals and atmosphere of the game appear very similar to that of Infinity Blade. Gameloft are also using Unreal Engine 3 to build the game, as Epic games and Chair Entertainment did with Infinity Blade. Likewise Wild Blood is a hack and slash type of action game. Gameloft have yet to announce a specific time frame for release, other than the ever popular tag of ‘coming soon’. It’s also unknown whether Gameloft will charge for the game or if it will follow the freemium model of many of their other games available.
The latest trailer for the game has been released by Gameloft and while it has been compared to Infinity Blade by quite a few, the trailer actually shows off more of a ‘Darksiders’ hack and slash feel about the game. Now, a mobile Darksiders game could be just what a gamer ordered and if Wild Blood can pull this kind of feel to the game off, Gameloft could have a winning title on their hands when the game is released.
