As we mentioned yesterday, Kairosoft’s Pocket Academy was headed your way and we didn’t have to wait long. The newest sim from the game guru’s has just arrived, and you won’t be racing cars or fighting aliens because this time you’ll get to build your own school.
I wanted to get the news out on this one relitivly quick, so while I haven’t had a chance to really sit down and play Pocket Academy, I’ve already noticed a few cool things. When you start out you actually get to customize your student’s looks and clothing; each student also has their own personality type which I’m sure plays into the game. After that you’re pretty much left to build and build you will as there seems to be a lot going on with Pocket Academy. The game allows you to build classrooms, gyms, water fountains, clubs and you even get to decide the “hot couple” of the week although I’m unsure how that works yet.
Verdict
Kairosoft’s games are always fun, but some are definitely better than others. I loved Epic Astro Story, and Dungeon Village, but Cafeteria Nipponica was a little boring to me and felt like a grind. Early on it looks like Pocket Academy is going to have a lot more going on than their last game, and I’m hoping this will be a great one. No free version is available yet, but the full version of Pocket Academy is well worth the $4.99 price tag.
