The Nexon Company releases MapleStory Live for Android

General

MapleStory is a phenomenon, and it’s probably considered the best thing since sliced bread to those who play it. Unfortunately, I’m not one of those folks, but have friends who are and they’re pumped about a new Android game called MapleStory Live from NEXON Company.

The MapleStory world is in peril, and it’s up to you to save it. You’ll take on the roles of Fenris the Dual Blade and Rei the Mechanic as you play two new tales of adventure to try and stop the evil Black Wings. MapleStory Live brings new stories, characters, and monsters into the mix as you play on a massive, fully explorable map. There are three different control schemes, three mini-games, and you can customize your screen to make the UI best suit your needs. If it’s anything like the PC version you’re going to spend a lot of time playing this, and may spend a lot of money on upgrades. Basically if you love MapleStory, this game is for you.

Verdict

As mentioned, I’ve never played the MapleStory games so there’s not a lot I can say about MapleStory Live, but I expect it to be a massive hit as I know a ton of people that play the game. I actually thought about giving it a quick run, but it’s not compatible with my devices although 500,000+ downloads means it has to be compatible on quite a few. If you’d like to give it a go you can check out the NEXON Company’s MapleStory Live for free or pick up the Deluxe version for $4.37.
