If you were a boy growing up back in the day, chances are you had some little green Army Men. If you love battling with the little guys as much as I did you’re in for a treat with Melesta Games Toy Defense.
Toy Defense is a Tower Defense game that puts you in charge of a group of toy soldiers where you’ll take on the wave after wave of plastic enemies. The gameplay falls right in line with every other TD game where you’ll have to strategically place your troops along a patch to keep the enemy from reaching your tower. By the numbers Toy Defense offers up 24 levels, lots of upgradable units like riflemen, AA guns, and cannons, and 9 types of enemy units to take out. You’ll also have access to some cool abilities like resurrection, repairmen, protective barrage, and squashing which is pretty self-explanatory.
I’m still in a Turkey induced haze so I didn’t have a chance to give Toy Defense a proper play, but I definitely like what I’ve seen so far. The game hasn’t been out long, but there are a lot of negative 1-star comments already. I have to disagree with basically all of them as the game looks great on my Samsung Galaxy S3 and I had absolutely no issues with the gameplay. Toy Defense is a solid Tower Defense game that’s well worth a look and if you want to give it a go you can pick it up for free on Google Play.
