Majesco first caught our attention with Legends of Loot and now they’re back with a new Android game by the name of Sci-Fi Heroes. While the two games couldn’t be any more different they do share one important trait… they’re both a lot of fun.
Sci-Fi Heroes is the story of a crack team of mercenaries whose vacation gets cut short due to a robot invasion of sorts. After a brief tutorial you’re thrown into the game which basically involves your team standing on a battle field being attacked by robots. Each stage lasts for one wave of robots and taking them out is as simple as drawing a line from a team member to an enemy.
The team building is interesting as well; there are 8 members of the Sci-Fi Heroes squad, and a slew of weapons, armor, and gear. Each team member also has a skill tree that coincides so there’s plenty of depth in regards to team building and customization. You name it, Sci-Fi Heroes has it. What other game has Space Cowboys, Technomancers, Laser Swords, and pet Tigers? The game’s got a good bit of humor as well as the characters interact with each other before every battle.
They say the best defense is a good offense and Sci-Fi Heroes takes that to heart as it’s all about kicking butt and there’s not much need to defend or even heal early on. That’s not a bad thing either, as the battle are quick and the loot is plenty. You’ll get something cool after every battle and can even do asynchronous “social raids” with friends via Facebook.
