We’ve covered several new running games over the past few months, and today we are going to take a look at another one by the name of Flip Runner by Deadly Serious Media.
Hats. That get your attention? Flip Runner has hats, but it also has some seriously addictive gameplay as it takes the endless runner genre and flips it upside down. Literally. Flip Runner puts its own spin on things by throwing all sorts of deadly obstacles in your path, and when you jump you’ll flip and start running on the bottom of the stage. Both sides are packed full of contraptions that will kill you, so you’ll have to react quickly if you want to stay on your feet. As mentioned, there are some hats to collect (everyone loves hats) to go along with a few power-ups.
Flip Runner is a solid running game, but it is a little rough around the edges in areas. The concept is cool, and it’s a lot of fun, but it felt laggy at times, and the soundtrack could definitely use some work as well. The lag could be on my end, but as there’s no free version available you’ll want to keep the refund window in mind. If you’d like to give it a go, you can pick up Deadly Serious Media’s Flip Runner for $1.00 on Google Play.
