Springloaded agree, and Heart Beaten is their retro tribute to lost love and heartbreak.
Heart Beaten is a game about having your heart broken over and over again, and each game gives you a little intro that shows the hero getting dumped by his significant other. I’m sure there will be a few lines you’ve heard before, I know I was familiar with a couple.
As for the game itself, it’s actually a series of mini-games that have to tap an 8-bit heart as quickly as possible. You’re going against a timer at the top of the screen, and the goal is to keep going as long as you can. There are no extras to speak of, but there is a killer 8-bit soundtrack to keep you entertained while you break hearts.
Heart Beaten is a product of the Global Game Jam 2013 where the theme was the sound of a heartbeat. Springloaded made a great little quick play game in a short amount of time, and it’s an Indie you’ll want to check out if you’ve had your heart broken. It’s simple, but quite a bit of fun and it’s free to download on Google Play.
