Aquaria is another awesome Indie that’s just arrived on Android courtesy of the Humble Android Bundle 6. It’s the second Bundle game we’ve covered so far, and it’s unlike any platformer you’ve ever played.
Naija is the heroine of Aquaria, and she has a pretty unique skillset. She’s a songstress of sorts, and her singing has the ability to affect the environment around her including certain plants and creatures. Naija also hails from the sea… literally. As the name implies, Aquaria is an aquatic game, and you’ll have to guide Naija through the mysterious underwater world full of beauty and danger. There are no real levels to speak of as it’s an open world game, but there are several different areas that become unlocked as you defeat mini-bosses throughout the game.
Platform games come in many forms, and every once in a while we come across something special like Aquaria from Bit-Blot. Try to think of another game that has an underwater heroine who can cook, sing, and shape shift into different forms. Exactly… At the moment Aquaria is only available via the Humble Bundle for Android, but it should see a wide release on Google Play sometime after the sale is over.
