Tiki Kart 3D is an awesome new Android game from ARB Studios makers of the popular Tiki Golf 3D. They’ve brought Tiki Bobby back and this time he’s bringing a few friends and enemies along to go racing in the wacky world of Lonlo’s Volcano.
Controlling your little race car is easy as you simply need to touch the screen to accelerate, and all the steering is done with your accelerometer. You’ll have a button for any power-ups you collect and another button that changes the camera view, but that’s basically it for the controls. As your zipping around the track you’ll notice two things; pineapples and arrows. The arrows on the track give you a speed boost while the pineapples give you a random power-up. The power-ups randomly scroll until you press the button and you’ll press that same button again to use the power-up against your foe.
Now for the good stuff… Tiki Kart 3D gives gamers eight different karts, 15 tracks and plenty of power-ups like landmines, fireballs, and oil slicks. Each kart handles differently and has its own unique abilities; you’ll get the first 3 for free while the rest will have to be unlocked. There are a few different purchasing options for the extra as you can buy some things individually, but your best deal will come with the packs where you can get all the extras Tiki Kart 3D offers for $3.99.
Tiki Kart 3D is a great looking game that’s a lot of fun to play, and it’s probably the closest thing we’re going to get to Mario Kart on the Android. The racing is fun, but I do feel that the controls could use a little tweaking. They seem a little off at times and while you can adjust a few of the settings the option for on-screen controls would be a welcome addition to the game. You can pick up ARB Studios Tiki Kart 3D in the Android market for free.
