STEAM SUMMER SALE 2026 OFFICIALLY LIVE WITH BIGGEST DISCOUNTS OF THE YEAR

Valve’s biggest annual sale of the year is here, with the Steam Summer Sale 2026 going live today, June 25, and running through July 9, 2026. The sale arrives at a particularly interesting moment for PC gaming, as several major releases from earlier this year, including Gothic 1 Remake, Resident Evil Requiem, and Crimson Desert, are eligible for their first significant discounts.

Average discounts sit around 45 percent across participating titles, with the most common tiers landing at 50, 57, and 75 percent off, and deeper cuts of up to 90 percent on older catalogue titles. The event comes as Steam recorded 42,042,778 concurrent users on January 11, 2026, its highest figure ever, demonstrating unprecedented momentum for the platform.

All discounts are active for the full two-week duration rather than rotating daily, so there is no mechanical advantage to buying on day one. The 14-day window historically mobilizes tens of millions of PC gamers into the largest single buying event in digital game distribution, with Steam’s Summer Sale 2024 generating 876 million dollars in gross merchandise value.

The sale is also something of a quiet prelude to a major few months for PC gaming, with Halo Campaign Evolved landing on July 28, followed by The Blood of Dawnwalker on September 3.
