Some people are scared of things like spiders while others have a horrible fear of clowns or thick moustaches. Figaro Pho is just that type of person, and he’s even got a popular ABC show to prove it. He also has his own Android game with the recently released Figaro Pho Fear Factory.Figaro Pho Fear Factory takes gamers on a journey through the Toy Factory where Figaro earns a living. The problem is he’s been forced to work the night shift, and the tiny toy terrors from the factory are out to get him. The game plays like a touch-based platformer as you’ll take on bite-sized levels using simple gestures to move Figaro around. It works well, but you’ll still need to think quickly if you want to avoid evil cymbal wielding monkeys and the mad granny.
By the numbers, Figaro Pho Fear Factory has 42 levels to go along with 15 achievements. You’ll get some power-ups along the way as well, and there are plenty of objects to interact with on your journey like boxes and grappling hooks. The rockets have been my favorite so far, but I’m still pretty early in the game.
Figaro Pho Fear Factory is a puzzling little platformer with slick animations and a cool graphical style. It’s not just stylish though, there’s a lot of substance there, and I would have to say it’s the best mobile game I’ve played that’s based off a TV show. It’s very well done all around. If you want to give it a shot, you can pick up Chocolate Liberation Front’s Figaro Pho Fear Factory for $0.99.
