Another day, another city building game and this time we’ve got a new one called Tiny City from Chillingo. Yeah, it’s not the most original name in the world, but that doesn’t really matter if it’s a solid game. Is Tiny City worth your time? Keep reading to find out…
aTiny City lets you be the Mayor of a little city where you’ll try to build your humble hamlet into the best town around. The gameplay is just like any other building game where you’ll have to complete tasks/quests in order to level up and unlock new items for your city. The tasks can range from fixing up new houses to stocking stores; basic stuff really and things you should be very familiar with if you play building games of this nature. There’s a tutorial that walks you through it all if you’re new to the genre so no worries. As for the things you get to build you’ll get houses, businesses, production facilities, services, and decorations. I didn’t go through and count the categories, but take my word for it… you’ll get a lot of building to construct.
Tiny City is a typical building game, and in my brief run though I didn’t notice anything that really unusual or interesting unfortunately. That being said, the game looks great and the graphics are crisp and shiny on my s3. It may be just another building game, but it’s a slick one at least. I’m not knocking the game either as it really seems like a solid title, it’s just nothing that we haven’t seen before. If you’re a fan of the genre you’ll probably want to check Tiny City out, and you can pick it up for free on Google Play.
