Baseball Games are a dime a dozen, but a new baseball game called Wannabat Season brings something a little different to the table. You won’t play a full-fledged 9 inning game, but you will get to swing for the fences, pitch, and play online against people from around the globe.
Wannabat Season is a baseball game with a story… the story a tournament set in Brazil called the “Baseball Showdown”. You play a poor youth with a love for baseball that wants to make a name for himself and make it to the big leagues. Your player is multi-talented which means you’ll get to hit and pitch while taking down opponents in the street and online. As you progress in the game you’ll level up your player and upgrade their abilities and skills in several different areas. Wannabat Season offers up a single player campaign, one-on-one matches against NPC’s you’ve taken down, and online duels against opponents from around the world.
I just stumbled across Wannabat Season last night, and I have to say it’s one of the funnest baseball games I’ve played this year. The controls are a bit different, but very easy to use and there’s plenty of depth as well.
