It wasn’t long ago that the folks at 11 Bit Studios brought us Funky Smugglers, and now they’re back with another new Android game called Sleepwalker’s Journey. There are no dangerous smugglers in this game, but there is a lot of sleepwalking which can be just as hazardous.
Sleepwalker’s Journey is the tale of Moonboy, a sleepy little boy that’s been blown from his bed by a giant sneeze from the moon. Your job is to get Moonboy back to his bed safely by clearing a path as his dreamworld is full of hazards. The way the game plays is pretty interesting; when a stage starts Moonboy starts walking and you have to manipulate objects to make sure he gets to his bed safe and sound. In the first handful of levels I had to move things up, down, left, and right all while trying to collect stars and moons. There’s also a rewind button of sorts that lets you take back a wrong move which is always nice. By the numbers Sleepwalker’s Journey offers up 45 levels set across three different zones with more levels on the way.
I only gave Sleepwalker’s Journey a brief play, but I can say in all honesty that’s it’s an interesting game well worth a look. I really enjoyed the way you have to guide the sleepwalking boy, and you learn to plan ahead rather quickly if you want to shoot for the perfect score. If you want to give it a run you can pick up 11 Bit Studios Sleepwalker’s Journey for $0.99 on Google Play.
