With Halloween creeping up on us it’s time to kick our Halloween coverage into high gear and we’re starting with a new Android game called Zombie Panic in Wonderland PLUS from Gmo. Yes it’s a zombie shooter, but it does involve saving fairytale kingdoms from the endless zombie hordes which is something I don’t think I’ve seen done before.
Zombie Panic in Wonderland is a shootem’ up that takes place in a fairytale kingdom that’s been overrun by zombies. Your job is to clean up the kingdoms and find the root of the unspeakable evil that’s invading the enchanted lands. It’s somewhat of a static shooter as you’ll move by tilting your device left to right and shoot by simply tapping the screen. You’ll also have to dodge the undead from time to time and this is done through swiping which lets you pull a Rambo roll to the side. Zombie Panic in Wonderland has two modes of play, fully destructible environments, and seven playable characters including anime versions of Alice, Dorothy, Little Red Riding Hood, and Snow White. As the theme of the game implies you’ll get to play in fairytale settings including Snow Village, The Castle of Prince Charming, and the super creepy sounding Graveyard of Oz.
Zombie Panic in Wonderland is nice little shooter that does a good job of tossing zombies into a fairytale setting before letting you blast them to bits. I only gave the game a quick play to check it out, but the controls are easy to use and there seems to be plenty of depth as well. I plan on spending some more time with Zombie Panic in Wonderland later this week and will report back this weekend with a full review.
