Overview
Some Android games have a lot of depth while others are good for a quick play. Hit the Apple from Feelingtouch Inc. is one such game as there isn’t a lot to it, but it’s still quite a bit of fun.
Hit The Apple is an arrow shooting game where you’ll take control of a wacky looking caveman with a bow & arrow. Across the screen is a rather nervous looking gentleman with an apple hanging over his head, and your job is to skewer the apple with an arrow without hitting the man. Every time you hit the apple you’ll move back a few feet to make things a bit harder; if you miss the guy completely you can still keep going, but if you hit the man you’ll have to start over. Shooting your arrows is easy as it’s based on the trajectory you choose, but it does get hard as you get further out. I’ve only been able to get to round 13 which is pretty far back as you can see by the screen shot above; I’m not sure if there are any hidden surprises (besides shooting random birds) as that’s as I can make it.
Verdict
Hit The Apple is a very straightforward game with no bells or whistles which basically means what you see is what you get. That’s not necessarily a bad game as Hit The Apple is a quick-play game at its finest, but I would like a little leader board action as I’m curious to see how far others have made it. The game also has a nice amount of cartoon gore if you hit the guy, so keep that in mind before letting kids play around with the game. Hit The Apple is free, but ad-supported and you can check it out on Google Play.
