Big Blue Bubble has put out some off the wall games as of late, and their latest called Hamster Cannon is no exception. This physics-based puzzler lets you launch hamsters out of cannons and towards the Golden Noms. You’ll have to really put the poor little hamsters through the wringer to get those tasty noms, but don’t worry they get some tiny little helmets to keep them safe…
Flinging your little hamster through the air is as easy as aiming the cannon and pressing a button, but collecting the snacks is trickier. Lucky for us hamsters are bouncy (who knew) so you can ricochet them of walls and other objects to snag the snacks. Apparently Hamsters also enjoy wearing hats which actually comes in handy when they need to break through walls or play with a little fire. I always knew Hamsters were hungry little beasts, and so did the developers of Hamster Cannon as they give you 70 puzzling levels spread across 4 different worlds.
While I loved Burn the Rope and enjoy their other games, Hamster Cannon is definitely the bubble’s 2nd best effort in my opinion. The mechanics may have been done before, but I don’t think they’ve been done with this much style. The sites and sounds of the game have made me crack up several times, and I’m really looking forward to running through the game later this evening. A full review is headed your way in a day or two, until then I highly recommend you head over to the market and pick up Big Blue Bubble’s Hamster Cannon for free.
