Palworld 1.0 Full Release: The Survival Game That’s Taking Over Steam and Twitch
After more than two years in Early Access, Pocketpair’s monster-collecting survival game launched its full 1.0 update on July 10, 2026, unveiled with a cinematic trailer at Summer Game Fest and shipping with a 27-page changelog. The timing couldn’t be better for the full release, as Palworld saw a new 24-hour peak of 853,393 players on Steam, while the game currently dominates Twitch with approximately 65,974 average concurrent viewers and sits as the number one top seller on Steam for Week 30.
Developer Pocketpair has pushed its hit survival game out of early access with 72 new Pals, a level cap increase, and massive overhauls to practically every corner of the monster-tamer. 47 of them are entirely fresh and 25 are variants of existing Pals, upping the game’s total to a hefty 287. The update introduces major new areas including Sunreach, adding dozens of floating islands above the main world of Palpagos, plus the long-awaited World Tree region that was previously sealed behind a mysterious red barrier.
Right now, Palworld 1.0 is at 96 percent positive reviews looking at the hundreds of ratings posted, with players praising the comprehensive improvements to combat, base building, and story content. Pocketpair’s Head of Publishing and Communications thanked the community, describing the results as mind boggling numbers and said that working on Palworld has been a surreal and life-changing experience.
