The Xbox 360 controller is an instantly recognisable and well made piece of kit. However, the practice of making modifications to, or ‘modding’, the Xbox 360 controller is becoming increasingly popular.

| Mobile games have come a long way since the times of Snake being the only game available to play. The Sims 3 shows this gloriously. This is the first installment of the Sims to be on Android devices and brings the fun of The Sims to you anywhere you are without the need of carrying around a Gameboy or Nintendo DS. The Sims 3 is the first attempt at putting the series onto a mobile format and it did a decent job at it. While there are not as many options as the Console versions, it is still a fun game. One of the major differences in the mobile version is that you do not have the ability to create households but instead just single a Sim. Your Sim is able to get a job, interact with other Sims, buy a car, etc. New in this game are wishes which are random wants from your Sim such as a new couch, annoy another Sim or my personal favorite of using another Sim’s toilet. The game has very basic game play, even for a Sims game. The whole game pretty much consists of talking to other characters and kicking over trash cans because there are not any mini-games present. Areas to explore are reduced down to a small town with about 4 buildings, not including homes, to go to which only offer shops or job opportunities. The menus are nice for simplicity and easy navigation but that is really all there is to the stores. The audio is pretty bad in this title because it is very basic. The “Simlish” language is present and sounds fine but the soundtrack is lacking. Consisting of 2 songs that loop throughout your experience, the soundtrack gets very boring. Sound effects in the game are decent but nothing to really praise because they are very simple as well. The graphics in this title are decent for a mobile game but there are far better games in that respect. The game looks like it is taken from the early Nintendo DS years. The graphics do not hurt the eyes but they get boring fairly quickly. Initial design of your Sim is about as great as the graphics get and immediately go downhill afterward. The Sims 3 is a somewhat overpriced game at $7. If this title had a little more content then it would be worth the price but at the current time, it is not. The game is decently entertaining but will not keep your attention for more than a couple of hours. This is a major drawback for a simulation title. If you really enjoy The Sims then this title would be recommended but for the casual mobile gamer, it is not worth purchasing for its current price. source: http://www.gameplaytoday.com/mobile/android-reviews/5654-the-sims-3-android-review?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter |
