| Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is speaking out against an Android mobile phone video game, Dog Wars, which allows the players to participate in dogfighting. “I’ve come to learn the hard way that dogfighting is a dead-end street,” Vick said. “Now, I am on the right side of this issue, and I think it’s important to send the smart message to kids, and not glorify this form of animal cruelty, even in an Android app.” The creators of the game, have defended their product by saying, it’s nothing but a video game and isn’t meant as an endorsement of real dogfighting. “Just because something is illegal in real life in certain countries, does not mean it is illegal to make a song, movie, or video game about it,” that’s what the creators of the game, who are trying to make money on it are saying. Google had given the okay for these “DogWars” apps.
